Yesterday we went to the health dept. and got shots for when we travel. We got what was recommended for traveling to Ethiopia. OUCH, I haven't had shots since I was a kid (no wonder they cry!) We got vaccinated in every way, we sniffed the flu, swallowed the typhoid, injected with MMR, Hep A & B, Meningococcal, Polio, and I got Tdap! Still feel like I have a charlie horse in my arms.
On to Exciting news, I got video of my kids and letters from the girls! I'm in love with them all already! They are shy but seem to be sweet kids with a strong faith. My oldest B-14yr has 12 shoe size! We might get some tall kiddos. Thanks Crystal for taking the time to see my kids.
Oh and we have to go back for more shots in a month!

where we're at in our adoption
I would like to let everyone know where we are at, right now we have are referral of 4 siblings A-boy is the oldest at about 14, A-big girl is about 11, S-boy is about 8-9, A-little girl is 6-7(not allowed to reveal names or pictures until passing court). All are paperwork is in Ethiopia. We are waiting to be put in a group which is labeled by a letter. Right now the latest group is group D, we could possibly be in the next group. Each group is submitted to court with about 6 or so cases (takes about 4-6 weeks after group assignment to be submitted). You then will either pass or fail in court, sometimes failing for document missing or not done right. If you pass you will pick up your kids in about 4 weeks later. If you fail you get submitted back to court as soon as possible. Praying to be in the next group! Crystal Q. is in Ethiopia picking up her girls an is going to visit my kids! I'm sooo excited to get ANY info on them! THANKS CRYSTAL!!
patience...
When your in the adoption process, if you don't have patience, you will! I have not been one of the most patient people in my life, but with one adoption down and waiting on another to complete, has been one of those LEARNING experiences! As my mom always said and the reason for my blog name - just take - ONE DAY AT A TIME!
A little about our jouney so far. Our first adoption took us to Gautemala, with a 3 month paper processing , 1 month to referral , 9 months to pick up, and a 12 month total patience lesson! This lesson was so well worth it we have decided to do it again. Our adoption journey has took us to Ethiopia and 4 siblings! We will be doubling our kids, ya think I'll learn anymore patience???! Lol! God has been good and when you only take what the day gives you and not worry about tomorrow it makes for alot less stress.
Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of it's own. Matthew 6:34
I hope I can keep this blog updated on my journey to bringing my children home!
